The Association PPMDAI, pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement between the PNP and the association on matters relating to membership, safety trainings and information dissemination.

Our Vision

The pyrotechnic industry in the Philippines that is economically stable, producing quality fireworks with safety as its foremost thrust and aims to eliminate accident and injuries in the manufacture, storage and transport of fireworks products. The association and the government
authorities working together in developing programs to further reduced casualties to our consumers during the new years celebration.

Our Mission

To establish a responsible organization that shall work for the growth and development of the pyrotechnic industry and its members. To beable to promote a safety-oriented and quality wise production, distribution use and display of fireworks.

Objectives of PPMDAI

  • To Provide assistance to its members in the processing of requirements for the issuance of Permits and Licenses either as Manufacturers or as Dealers of Pyrotechnic products.
  • To represent the members in a collective capacity in Consultative meetings between Government agencies such as the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Internal Revenue and other Agencies in furtherance of RA 7183.
  • To provide financial assistance to members in case of death, calamities or accidents.
  • To help the Government disseminate information, guidelines or circulars that the Government may promulgate from time to time.
  • To upgrade the technical know-how of its members by providing training and seminars to members.

Major Accomplishments:

  • Representative of the Philippines in the 8th Macau International fireworks Display Contest in October 1996.
  • Taiwan Trip: Meeting with Taiwan Pyrotechnics Association headed by Chieh Wang of Sun Tai Fireworks in October 1996.
  • Set up the 1st Bulacan Fireworks Display Contest in 1997.
  • Membership to the Bulacan Pyrotechnics Regulatory Board headed by Bulacan Gov. Josie dela Cruz in 1998.
  • Canada trip: Represented the Philippines in the 4th International Symposium on Fireworks , Halifax Canada, October 1998.
  • Spearheaded the one-week Technical Upgrading Seminar in 1999 conducted by Cil Evans of Canada and Scientist Rod Schneider of USA and funded by the Provincial Government of Bulacan in June 21-26 1999.
  • Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the PPMDAI and the Philippine National Police represented by Director General Panfilo M. Lacson in his capacity as chief of the PNP on 24 November 2000 on matters relating to membership, training and cooperation.
  • Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the PPMDAI and the Department of Trade and Industry– Bureau of Product Standards on 23 November 2001 on matters relating to pyrotechnics standards.
  • Development of Curriculum thru TESDA in order to upgrade the competence and skills of pyrotechnicians in 2000.
  • Participated in the Industry Techno Forum conducted by the Department of Science and technology — Industry Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) and the Bulacan PRB on 22 August 2000.
  • Partner of the Bulacan Provincial Regulatory Board on the campaign of OPLAN: Ingat-Paputok 1999-present.
